Russian Plane Crash Kills Entire Hockey Team

On Wednesday, September 7th, a plane flying the entire Lokomotiv Yaroslavl hockey team, coaches, players and staff, to an international forum,  crashed and killed everyone aboard. Through the grief and sorrow that has swept Russia's hockey fans, the crash has called attention to the lack of air safety in Russia and other soviet republics. Investigators could not immediately give a reason to why the plane failed, but experts blame old aircraft, weak government controls and poor pilot training as well as a cost-cutting mentality that has infected the nation.
